The Junior League of the Woodlands, Inc., community assistance program has four primary components:
JLTW has donated over $100,000 towards Community Assistance (CAF) and Emergency Relief (ERF) Funds over the years. Organizations in our service area must apply for CAF funds by March 15th each year. ERF applications are accepted and funds awarded year long to help with emergency needs of organizations in our community.
In the spirit of giving, JLTW, Inc. has established a community gift program to provide assistance to a local community organizations in need. Every 5 years, in May, JLTW awards a Community Gift that will leave a lasting impact on our community and act as a living legacy.
In 2010, the Junior League celebrated its 20th anniversary and commemorated the milestone with a gift to a local organization. This tradition continued in celebration of the League’s 25th anniversary in 2015 as a way to give an additional large gift to our community outside of our annual programs. We look forward to celebrating more anniversaries with gifts back to our community.
The newly created JLTW Sustaining Scholarship Fund was developed to recognize and encourage young women within JLTW’s service area who are graduating seniors continuing their education.
