Presidents Message

This year marks the 30th Anniversary of Junior League of the Woodlands, Inc. What a tremendous milestone as we celebrate our collective impact on the community around us, as far west as Cypress and all the way over to Kingwood. It began with a group of empowered, bold, courageous women who set out to make a difference in North Houston. We are forever grateful for their vision and dedication and follow in their footsteps today as an organization committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

We are honored to be part of The Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc., an organization that spans across 4 countries, 291 Leagues, and includes over 140,000 individuals, creating a network of volunteers with a vision of: Women around the world as Catalysts for Lasting Community Change.

We truly believe that together we are stronger and can make a greater impact. While we have always valued diversity and realize the value in all individuals, we hope to further that mission through our focused dedication to diversity and inclusion. We have adopted the Commitment Statement of “Junior League welcomes all women who value our Mission. We are committed to inclusive environments of individuals, organizations and communities.”

Junior League of The Woodlands’ greatest asset is our members, a tribe of dedicated volunteers and leaders, whose efforts this year will help to provide over $1 million in volunteer time, programming, and direct financial assistance to our community programs and partners.

Please take some time to look through our website, where you will learn all about how we arrived at where we are today and what exciting things we have in store for the future.

We welcome you to join us on our mission to creating lasting community change.
